Bobby's Story
Four-year-old Bobby lives with his mother and two siblings. He occasionally requires surgeries for a physical condition, and when HPI met his mother he was again in the hospital. As a single mother, Bobby’s mom is a hardworking sole provider, and when her hours were cut, she was unable to make rent. She turned to HPI for rent assistance. The day prior to our meeting her purse was stolen. Without identification, she was not only unable to receive rental assistance but could not visit Bobby. It felt like her world was crumbling. The church where she met HPI gave her money to get a new license. When she returned, we were able to offer temporary rent assistance that kept her in her home. Today, she has a full-time job and greater stability. By supporting HPI, you help keep Fort Collins children in stable homes.
